One of the most exciting movie scenes I have seen is when Uma Thurman uses the kill bill hanzo sword.

Using one of the famous hanzo swords for that scene was a masterpiece of film direction and has brought Uma to the forefront of the movie industry.

The movie is a few years old now but still showcases the famous Japanese Samurai Sword, with it’s hand crafted blade and manta ray butt. The lion emblem is too cool for words but finding an authentic sword still can be troublesome.

The best way is to search the Internet and then make sure that you are protected with some form of purchaser warranty. Looking at an authentic site like hattorihanzosword.com can also give you some pointers as to what is really authentic.

What would it have been like to be a service man over the seas in France during World War II?

France declared war on Germany after it invaded Poland in 1939. On the 25th of June 1940, Germany succeeded in conquering France and they were under the control of Germany. This is when the French resistance began. Charles De Gaulle gave a memorable speech to the French people that was broadcast on the British airway. He said,” France has lost a battle, but France has not lost the war!”

De Gaulle established the Free French government to fight the Nazi regime. The French continued to fight Germany throughout World War II. Eventually they received help from Britain. After the Normandy beach landing in June of 1940 they received help from American troops. France had over one million troops in combat in World War II.

Vintage Halloween costumes of this era are fun to wear. The sexy Le Parisienne cigarette girl costume would be perfect for any costume ball.

I have always loathed the artificial items that pretend to be real. I hate, for example, light food, or vegan fake meat. That is why, up to now, I’ve often disliked artificial Christmas trees. They never deceive anyone, nevertheless they stubbornly persist in their mimic in a manner that I find most irritating and worthless. If these fake Christmas trees looked a bit less like actual trees, and more like representations representing actual trees, then I may not be so bothered by them, however as it is I am unable to stand them.

The problem is that, where I live, we are not allowed to have a real Christmas pine tree, nor do we really have the room to. My significant other has wanted to get a plastic Christmas tree for the last year or two, but I have been highly against it for the reasons presented earlier on. That is why I have decided to get a Pink Christmas Tree this holiday season. No one is going to believe that a Pink Christmas Tree is genuine for even an instant, however a Pink Christmas Tree is not looking to trick anyone into believing. Although it is garish and ugly, a Pink Christmas Tree is completely at home and honest about its garishness and tackiness, and so it really does not have the same offensive attributes to it as other fake Christmas trees do, in my view. Really, my wife thinks that i’m nuts, but a Pink Christmas Tree may be the only solution to our Christmas problems. It is an x-mas tree, which she wants, and it is not a low-priced facsimile, that is what I want. Rather, it is a extremely phony mockery.

I’ve decided to put the Pink Christmas Tree inside the window with the yard flamingos that have nothing to do until upcoming summer anyhow. Around them, I will place the most bright, garishly flashing Christmas lights that I can locate, and decorate the whole thing with cheap plastic garlands strung with little dollar store quarter bin toys. Then my Pink Christmas Tree will have that look that I have frequently imagined for it, that look of uncompromising falsehood. Maybe next year I will get a purple Christmas tree. I can only picture what wonders I possibly could work together with that one! Until then, the Pink Christmas Tree seriously hits the spot.

If you are lucky enough to have a vintage kitchen, you will definitely want to make sure your all of your kitchen accessories match the era of your home. This includes your kitchen canisters, which can have a real impact as the focal point of your kitchen if you choose them correctly.

If your vintage home was built between 1920-1940, you have a great opportunity to feature the black and white kitchen themes of that era. You can use hardwood floors if you must, but to stay vintage, go with black and white linoleum tiles set on the diagonal in a Venetian pattern. You’ll want white painted kitchen cabinets with polished nickel hardware, white Carerra marble counter tops, and a set of glass kitchen canisters in an apothecary style.

If you have a mid-century vintage kitchen built 1949-1960, you can have a lot of fun with ceramic kitchen canisters in bright colors that match your kitchen decor. You can probably find some really kitschy canister sets in the shapes of farm animals and other motif-specific shapes. Just be sure to remain consistent in your design theme and have some fun choosing your favorite kitchen canisters.

Is it October 31st yet? Yes indeed, this is my absolute favorite day of the entire year. No, it’s not Christmas. Everyone always picks Christmas. Halloween is a night of pure and simple fun. It’s loaded with screams, candy, and surprises. Oh, and there are all of those great costumes. This is what makes Halloween so special. It’s that one day of the year when you can actually be someone you’re not. How cool is that? Now comes the fun part; picking out a costume. What are you going to be for All Hallows Eve? Well, my wife and I have decided to try one of the Halloween couple costumes this year

About two years back, I was shopping in the local mall with my daughter. We were in dire search of a great costume for Halloween. As we entered the Disney Store, she spotted a Beauty and the Beast costume. This was it. I’m talking golden moment here. She loved the character of Belle. I can’t remember how many times she had viewed this film, but it was probably a few more than I can count. In short, she wanted that Beauty and the Beast costume so she too could be Belle for a night. I was all over the idea. What father doesn’t want to see their daughter become a princess? Once we arrived home with the sparkly attire, my little girl couldn’t wait to put it on.

Some don’t like the common couples Halloween costumes though, and that is when it is time to use the imagination. You don’t have to go as people if you don’t like, though going as another couple you know can be a lot of fun, and will definitely be original. Think of things that go together, and come up with something fun. You can be peas and carrots, an outlet and plug, pen and notebook, ball and chain (funny for married couples Halloween costumes), or even something like dollars and coins. Almost anything is possible, though some are obviously going to be easier to find or make than others.

You can give the trick-or-treaters a double scare when they show up at your front door, or possibly be the best dressed at the local Halloween bash. The days of wrapping up in toilet paper to become a mummy are over. With the deluge of Halloween couple costumes and more at you very fingertips, you simply can’t go wrong.

This morning I was strolling down through the SuperMarket and so happened to notice that they started stocking up on the Halloween inventory with the kids mask, costumes and party accessories. It was then that it hit me that its time for another Frantic Festive Holiday Season of Happy Halloween Festivities.

The kids moved out to college this year and I think its time for something special like a 60′s Themed Fancy Dress Costume Party. Ladies get your 60′s Dress out and your hippest Hippie Costumes.

I bet you’re thinking all this and what for? I want to bring back the 60′s Baby, they were home to some of the best days ever, so much history, so much to remember and just the best years of the past century.

So lets all bring back the old school Vintage Outfits and have a smashing Halloween 2010.

Posters are designed for marketing and therefore printed on low quality, acidic paper. After some time those acids could harm your movie poster. So movie poster maintenance procedures which can include chemical stabilization, deacidification and checking pH levels are essential to learn about.

Poster protection framing occurs when all supplies utilized during the process of framing don’t damage the movie poster.

Regarding poster reparation Valuable posters may come with abnormalities. Restoration professionals can fix the irregularities and can even recondition missing pieces to their true condition.

It doesn’t matter if you are thinking about recently released movie posters, currently playing movie posters or very traditional posters about movies.

If you want to give your home your own personal touch, it is not difficult, nowadays, to achieve this. You can recycle old pieces of furniture, lamps and other accesories. Vintage is on style, so this is the right moment for reusing, recovering and rehabilitating.

Vintage means mixing modern pieces of mid 20th. Century with art dec, Bauhaus or 50s or 80s sofas and lamps. You can find them in your own garage or garage sales, flea markets and also online. For example, think of a classic art dec glass sconce or ceiling fixture with glazed metal support and crystal globe or an elegant and versatile Bauhaus lamp with a chorme metal arm.

Another form of vintage is Shabby Chic, which is inspired in the English country style, and in which old reused pieces of furniture and white elements prevail.
